Das Zauberwort heißt Integration: Bei den STEVENS-Pedelecs mit dem Namenszusatz "PT5" ist der PowerTube-Akku gut geschützt im voluminösen Rahmenunterrohr verborgen – und bietet die volle 500-Wattstunden-Kapazität für lange und noch längere Touren. Dank einer verdeckten Ladebuchse lässt er sich sogar am Bike aufladen. Und das kräftig dimensionierte Rahmenrohr steigert nebenbei auch noch Steifigkeit, Fahrsicherheit und Lenkpräzision.

For the most preciuos STEVENS pedelecs BOSCH goes the full nine yards and presents the Nyon Display - the world's first all-in-one on-board computer for bikes: e-drive activation and monitoring, GPS, fitness coach … combined with a specially designed smartphone app plus online portal a lot more is possible. If it's planning your route on your PC at home or managing your fitness data, the do-it-all Nyon is designed to statisfy any demand in information a cyclist can ever have.

QR15-Steckachse vorn

Die „15“ steht für den Achsdurchmesser, das „QR“ für „Quick Release“, also Schnellspanner – und zusammen für die funktionellste Methode, das Vorderrad in der (Feder-)Gabel zu verankern. Die Vorteile sind bestechend: hohe Steifigkeit, präzise Bremsscheiben-Positionierung und kinderleichte Bedienung. Also stattet STEVENS fast alle Mountainbikes und sogar die hochwertigsten Trekking-, Crossbikes und Pedelecs damit aus. Vor allem bei den 29“-MTBs wird sogar noch die Einbaubreite erhöht – von 100 auf 110 mm, das ist noch steifer.

IQ-X Scheinwerfer

Die Scheinwerfer-Modellreihe IQ-X von Busch + Müller macht es mit ihrer neu entwickelten Lichttechnologie erstmals möglich, mit einem Dynamoscheinwerfer die 100-Lux-Marke zu knacken – und das mit einer sehr breiten, weiten und homogenen Großflächen-Ausleuchtung der Straße. Die kleinere, elegantere XS-Version bringt es immer noch auf stolze 70 Lux. Für rekordverdächtig hell gleißendes Licht (150 Lux!) sorgt hingegen der IQ-X E-Scheinwerfer, den wir am Lenker unseres schnellen S-Pedelecs Triton 45 anbringen.

Integrated Pannier Rack Mount dropout

In collaboration with pannier rack specialists Tubus and Racktime STEVENS' engineers have developed a dropout that also serves as an elegant pannier rack mount. It not only looks fantastic, it also ensures that forces caused by luggage or large amounts of groceries are evenly transmitted inot the frame - resulting in a more stable and safer design.

Wer häufiger mit dem E-Bike auf Strecken mit weniger glattem Untergrund unterwegs ist, kann bis zu 53 mm breite Reifen montieren – und dann von mehr Fahrkomfort und Pannenschutz profitieren, die deren größeres Luftvolumen mit sich bringt, weil nunmehr mit geringerem Reifenluftdruck gefahren werden kann. Die Rahmen und Gabeln dieser Bikes sind jedenfalls schon darauf vorbereitet.

Even when you can't see the strut that connects the pannier rack to the fender - it is there. The strut runs below the fender and provides - in connection with the rack mounted to the fender - more stability and lateral stiffness.

Die erhöhte Anbringung vor dem Lenker-Display sorgt für eine noch bessere Ausleuchtung der Straße als bei der herkömmlichen Gabelmontage, da der Reifen keinen Schatten wirft. Und das ist gut so, denn schließlich sind Sie mit unseren Top-Pedelecs ja auch schneller unterwegs als bisher gewohnt.

Tapered Seat Tube

The seat tube tapers from top to bottom. At the top it fits a slim 27.2mm seatpost that offers some flex and therefore increases comfort especially when riding over rough ground. At the bottom the large diameter nicley flows into the bottom bracket shell and downtube to provide great stiffness and drivetrain efficiency.

Hydroforming

Using water or oil pressure aluminium tubes are transformed from their original round shape into their ideal shape determined by STEVENS engineers to perfectly withstand any load without any weight penalty. Riders of allround bikes and pedelecs will benefit from a better stability caused by hydroforming even when they are touring with heavy luggage.

Tapered Steerer / Tapered Headtube

Fork shaft (or steerer tube) and head tube are tapered, meaning their diameter increases from top to bottom resulting in a conical shape. The diameter needs to be bigger at the bottom since this is where higher stress is applied - especially when the bike has a higher total weight due to luggage or an e-drive and battery. Also tapered steerers feature a smoother force transfer (like forces caused by hard braking) to the downtube than forks with a continuous 1 1/8" diameter.

Triple Butted, Double Butted

Meaning a frame tube has three or two different wall thicknesses along its length. Triple butted (TB) is the usual technology with STEVENS high-quality frames.
Tubes with different wall thicknesses are optimally adjusted to certain ways of manufacturing or to withstand specific loads. Where the highest loads occur or where tubes are welded, walls are the thickest. Butted tubes allow frame weight to be lower by several hundred grams.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes (Trekking)

There is no more reliable brake system than hydraulic disc brakes - that is why we strongly advice everyone, who is riding their cross, trekking- or city bike 12 months a year to choose one of our models with the „DISC“ suffix. Brake power is easy to modulate and does not fade a bit in the wet. Also the brakes are almost maintenance-free. And your local STEVENS dealer will gladly explain to you what you need to take care of when removing and re-installing a wheel
