A classic in new PowerTube design.

The name E-Triton has been synonymous with sporty, dynamic pedelecs for years - and that applies even more so to its current version with a generously dimensioned frame and integrated PowerTube battery perfectly complemented by the powerful Performance CX e-motor with 75Nm of torque. Other top-shelf components are good for first-class handling and functionality for many years to come.

  • Sporty pedelec with Shimano Deore XT/SLX gears
  • Strong Bosch Performance Line CX system w/ 250 W and 75 Nm plus integrated 500 Wh rechargeable battery
  • Load-capable designed frame tubes made of aluminium 6061
  • Air suspension fork with lockout and thru-axle
  • Precise Shimano BR-M6000 disc brakes

Technology

Bosch PowerTube Battery

PowerTube 500 Battery

Integration is the magic word: In STEVENS Pedelecs with the PT5 distinction the PowerTube battery is well protected inside the large down tube and provides a full 500 Watt hours for long and very long outings. Thanks to its concealed charging port it can be charged while remaining on the bike. And the large volume of the downtube additionally increases stiffness, safety and steering precision.

QR15 Front Thru-Axle

"15" stands for the diameter in millimeters, "QR" for quick release. Combined they are the most useful method to fix the front wheel to the (suspension) fork. With convincing advantages: high stiffness, precise positioning of the brake disc and super-easy handling. So STEVENS specs almost all its mountain bikes and even high-quality trekking bikes, cross bikes and pedelecs with a thru-axle. Additionally, especially with 29" MTBs axle spacing is increased from 100 to 110 mm which makes the design even stiffer.

Integrated Pannier Rack Mount dropout

In collaboration with pannier rack specialists Tubus and Racktime STEVENS' engineers have developed a dropout that also serves as an elegant pannier rack mount. It not only looks fantastic, it also ensures that forces caused by luggage or large amounts of groceries are evenly transmitted inot the frame - resulting in a more stable and safer design.

IQ-X Head Light

The IQ-X head light range from Busch+Müller, thanks to their newly developed light technology, enables dynamo-powered head light to break the 100-lux barrier for the first time ever - and in addition illuminates a large area in front of the bike very evenly. The smaller, more elegant XS version still makes 70 Lux. But the record goes to the IQ-X E head light with its 150 Lux (!) rivalling actual sun light as attached to the handlebar of our fast S-pedelec Triton 45.

Even when you can't see the strut that connects the pannier rack to the fender - it is there. The strut runs below the fender and provides - in connection with the rack mounted to the fender - more stability and lateral stiffness.

Up To 53 mm Tire Clearance

Up To 53 mm Tire Clearance

When you ride on roads with less than perfect surface, you can now mount up to 53 mm wide tires - and benefit from more comfort and flat protection that their larger volume brings with them and that can be ridden at a lower pressure. Frames and forks are already prepared to fit these wider tires.

Tapered Seat Tube

The seat tube tapers from top to bottom. At the top it fits a slim 27.2mm seatpost that offers some flex and therefore increases comfort especially when riding over rough ground. At the bottom the large diameter nicley flows into the bottom bracket shell and downtube to provide great stiffness and drivetrain efficiency.

Handlebar Mounted Head Light

Handlebar Mounted Head Light

The elevated positioning of the head light in front of the handlebar display provides an improved illumination of the road ahead of you, because the front tire won't cast a shadow. And this is good because on our speed pedelecs you'll be going faster than you were used to.

Hydroforming

Using water or oil pressure aluminium tubes are transformed from their original round shape into their ideal shape determined by STEVENS engineers to perfectly withstand any load without any weight penalty. Riders of allround bikes and pedelecs will benefit from a better stability caused by hydroforming even when they are touring with heavy luggage.

Tapered Steerer / Tapered Headtube

Fork shaft (or steerer tube) and head tube are tapered, meaning their diameter increases from top to bottom resulting in a conical shape. The diameter needs to be bigger at the bottom since this is where higher stress is applied - especially when the bike has a higher total weight due to luggage or an e-drive and battery. Also tapered steerers feature a smoother force transfer (like forces caused by hard braking) to the downtube than forks with a continuous 1 1/8" diameter.

Triple Butted, Double Butted

Meaning a frame tube has three or two different wall thicknesses along its length. Triple butted (TB) is the usual technology with STEVENS high-quality frames.
Tubes with different wall thicknesses are optimally adjusted to certain ways of manufacturing or to withstand specific loads. Where the highest loads occur or where tubes are welded, walls are the thickest. Butted tubes allow frame weight to be lower by several hundred grams.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes (Trekking)

There is no more reliable brake system than hydraulic disc brakes - that is why we strongly advice everyone, who is riding their cross, trekking- or city bike 12 months a year to choose one of our models with the „DISC“ suffix. Brake power is easy to modulate and does not fade a bit in the wet. Also the brakes are almost maintenance-free. And your local STEVENS dealer will gladly explain to you what you need to take care of when removing and re-installing a wheel
