Mountain jersey in Luxembourg and top ten in Poland

The Flêche du Sud and the CCC Grody Tour were on the race calendar in mid-May. While the riders around Jannik Steimle (sixth overall) rocked Luxembourg, their team mates were among those dominating the events in Poland.

After successes on home soil, at the Austrian Kirschblütenrennen and in the ÖRV Radbundesliga (national league), the riders of the team Vorarlberg Santic on STEVENS Comet showed also in Europe what they are capable of. Jannik Steimle won the mountain jersey at the Flêche du Sud in Luxembourg, a race of UCI category 2.2 on the second weekend of May. "A top job from the whole team and especially from Jannik", enthuses team manager Thomas Kofler.

Patrick Schelling gave another reason for joy on the same weekend: He finished the CCC Grody Tour (UCI 2.2) in Poland in seventh place overall - despite some defects in the team on site and thanks to a strong team performance. Especially on the penultimate stage, the king's stage, the Vorarlberg riders were brilliant: Patrick Schelling, Roland Thalmann and Davide Orrico set the pace in the breakaway group on the very difficult circuit with seven mountain classifications. Team mate Lukas Rüegg finished with fourth place in the U23 category.
