The top model in the STEVENS E-Hardtail range impressed the editors above all with its outstanding aluminium frame.
In discreet grey, it is the small but subtle details that make the difference. Such as the ‘widely curved seat and chain stays, which offer space for wide tyres.’
The finely tuned rear triangle of the E-Agnello ensures that an E-Hardtail does not have to be rigid. It ‘softens vibrations well and thus ensures comfort’. And the specification with a comfortable saddle and ‘superbly functioning suspension fork from Marzocchi’ also plays its part. The suspension fork easily irons out the ‘roots and similar unpleasantness of the trail’ and ‘its stiffness ensures precision in the choice of lane’, according to the test riders of ElektroRad magazine.
But it's not just the high-quality aluminium frame that convinced the test editors. The rest of the equipment ‘is also impressive’, according to ElektroRad magazine. Be it the Shimano Deore XT-based 12-speed drivetrain, the securely gripping Tektro 4-piston disc brakes or the superbly functioning variable seat post. The E-Agnello has a lot to offer.
The test riders also found the handling of the STEVENS E-Hardtail absolutely convincing. In addition to being very sporty, the test crew attested to the E-Agnello's effective pedalling, good balance and plenty of uphill power thanks to the Bosch Performance Line CX drive with 85 Nm of torque. ‘Downhill, the slack steering angle and long rear end together with the 29-inch wheels ensure safety and control,’ say the test riders. The E-Agnello willingly follows winding trails.
Also impressive: the large reach thanks to the Bosch PowerTube 750 Wh battery housed in the down tube. Equipped with a high-quality Abus lock, it can be removed quickly and easily for charging purposes.
The E-Agnello scored 1.5 and thus a ‘very good’ rating from the test editors with the top mark in the uphill section and excellent marks in the handling, touring, specification and value for money sections.
The clear conclusion of ElektroRad magazine: ‘The E-Agnello presents itself as an enduring, well-equipped tourer that is also a lot of fun on rough trails. A versatile, sporty bike’ and therefore a clear “recommendation” from the editorial team.
