"Touring, everyday, sport, the nordic Randonneur masters all disciplines," summarized the testers of "Radtouren". The reasons for this: a lightweight, triple-butted aluminium frame with super-light and steering-precise S-Lite aluminium fork on the one hand and top equipment on the other.
The versatile Shimano Deore XT 3x10-speed gears offer enough room for manoeuvre, both uphill and downhill, and meet the sporty demands of the trekking bike. Add to that the reliable hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano and fast Continental Contact tires. "On the road, it (the Randonneur, editor's note) pleases with playful handling and superior ride quality. It can be leaned deep into a bend and straightens up again without much effort," praise the testers of the trade magazine.
A trekking bike must not only be sporty, but it must also offer good handling when packed. Thanks to the luggage carrier mount at the dropout, which we designed together with the luggage carrier specialists from Tubus/Racktime, the load of luggage is optimally transferred into the frame, thus creating a stable and secure connection. The integrated luggage rack brace also invisibly provides even more stability and lateral rigidity. The report in "RADtouren" says accordingly: "Even with luggage it's fun, the carrier with second loading level is well and form-fittingly mounted on the stiff frame." If you like, you can also transport more with the Ranonneur. The S-Lite aluminium fork easily accepts a lowrider luggage rack.
This trekking bike, which was awarded the "Price/Performance Tip" by the specialist magazine "RADtouren", is available for an RRP of 1,299 euros. Find your STEVENS dealer here.
