For the anniversary edition in 2022, the 25th in the history of the Cyclassics, a good 15,000 participants are expected again. After the start on the Alsterglacis and Kennedybrücke in the heart of the Hanseatic city, this year the field will set off on a 60-kilometre or longer 100-kilometre loop towards Schleswig-Holstein. Back in Hamburg, the route for all participants runs along the famous Elbchaussee and the infamous Reeperbahn to the spectacular finish in front of thousands of enthusiastic spectators on Hamburg's largest shopping boulevard, the Mönckebergstraße, before later in the day, traditionally, the professionals of the UCI World
Tour take to the starting line.
Oliver Schiek, Managing Director of IRONMAN Germany GmbH on the contract extension: "Consistency is a high commodity in these troubled times, which is why we are delighted to have STEVENS, a bicycle manufacturer from Hamburg, on board as our main sponsor for a good 15 years, who supports grassroots cycling with a lot of heart and soul and even more passion." Werner von Hacht, founder and shareholder of STEVENS, adds: "The STEVENS brand has its roots in cycle racing and in this respect it is only logical that we support an event like the Cyclassics in our home town to the best of our ability. We have been actively involved in the event for many years and are also an active sponsor, as it is one of the sporting highlights of every Hamburg sports summer. We are therefore looking forward with great enthusiasm to three more years as a close partner of this everyman classic".
