The E-MTB with its high-quality carbon frame and sporty GTF geometry is particularly impressive thanks to its versatility and high-quality specification.
The test riders were particularly impressed by the high-quality frame made of lightweight yet robust carbon fibre composite material. This includes the ample legroom and many practical details such as the chainstay protector, down tube protector and USB-C charging port.
The optimised geometry of the frame and the associated agile riding behaviour is supported by the choice of wheel combination consisting of a larger 29-inch front wheel and smaller 27.5-inch rear wheel. "Stevens relies on the Mullet concept, which promises a good mix of smoothness and agility." As a result, the bike "passionately generates speed out of tight bends", according to the ElektroRad test riders' observations.
In general, the E-Inception AM 8.7.1 GTF, powered by the popular and powerful Bosch Performance Line CX drive, is impressive on the test trails: "The E-Inception AM fulfils its promise in terms of handling with ease: it climbs lively and the motor is pleasantly quiet. The RockShox suspension is great on rough descents."
The other features also contribute to the excellent overall impression of the E-Fully. Be it the proven tyre combination of Schwalbe Magic Mary at the front and Eddy Current at the rear. The securely performing SRAM Code RS 4-piston brakes with 200 mm rotors. Or the wireless SRAM GX Eagle AXS 12-speed drivetrain.
The STEVENS E-Inception AM 8.7.1 GTF scored top marks for handling and excellent marks for downhill and specification. In comparison, this results in the second-best overall score of 1.3 and thus a "very good" in the test.
