Tim Merlier Reaches Podium Twice

At the Baloise Belgium Tour the elite cyclocross rider shows his sprint strength with two third places. On Wednesday his team will be at the start of the Tour de Luxembourg.

At the Baloise Belgium Tour team Véranda’s Willems-Crélan on STEVENS Xenon made quite an impression with two third places in the first two stages. Tim Merlier prevailed in the final bunch sprints in Buggenhout and Knokke-Heist behind stage winner André Greipel using his good legs and keen eyes for the right rear wheel. In addition, the eighth place of team mate Sean De Bie on the second stage helped the Pro Continental team to meanwhile hold first rank in the overall team classification.

Mountain jersey in Luxembourg and top ten in Poland

The Flêche du Sud and the CCC Grody Tour were on the race calendar in mid-May. While the riders around Jannik Steimle (sixth overall) rocked Luxembourg, their team mates were among those dominating the events in Poland.

After successes on home soil, at the Austrian Kirschblütenrennen and in the ÖRV Radbundesliga (national league), the riders of the team Vorarlberg Santic on STEVENS Comet showed also in Europe what they are capable of.

Nissen has been riding the race since 2015, won at the premiere and has always been on the podium in the final account ever since, and also this year he was considered one of the favorites of this high-quality race in the starting town of La Roche-en-Ardenne.
