“A very versatile, lightweight road bike”, Fiets’ editors said about the Xenon after road testing it for its March issue. Seven road bikes were tested. The requirements: Rim brakes, weight below 8kg and a price of around 3,000 Euros.

The Xenon, since the beginning of this year the weapon of choice for the pros of Pro Continental Team Veranda’s Willems-Crelan, really impressed the testers. They especially liked the classic appearance of the bike of its sloping top tube carbon monocoque frame as well as the low weight of frame and fork of approx. 900g and 300g respectively. “At exactly 6.85 kg (15.1 lbs) this bike is beautiful and light”, the editors said.

The clean appearance is contributed by the inner cable routing of the Sram Force drivetrain (34/50T cranks, 11-32T cassette) the tested bike is spec’d with. And: “Those who don’t like wire cables the Xenon is prepared for electronic shifting such as Di2”, the editors remarked. The DT Swiss wheels are shod in 25mm Continental tires, while the rims can also fit 28 mm.

The Xenon was actually very versatile and if requested can be completely custom spec’d. Only the handlebar wasn’t quite to the tester’s personal taste, but “you can replace it by another one via the Custom Program.”

Conclusion: The STEVENS Xenon’s frameset is the base for light and fast road bikes. The test bike with Sram Force group and DT Swiss wheels proved to be a versatile and lightweight racer.

Your dealer will check your set-up and order it from Hamburg, where it’s going to be assembled – and three weeks later your custom bike will arrive at the dealership for detailed fitting. The frameset alone sells for around 1,500 Euros, a complete bike starts at about 2,300 Euros.
