Especially for the E-8X Tour, we have equipped our new city and touring frame with a sportier geometry. This ensures a more active riding position on the bike and more agile handling on winding forest paths, over winding country lanes or simply on the daily ride through the city. This is complemented by a large 725 Wh PowerPack battery, the powerful Bosch Performance Line CX motor and a SunRace-based 12-speed groupset with a wide gearing range to cope with steep climbs. The package is rounded off by full integration of Bosch's third generation e-bike system, called "The smart system". It allows intelligent networking of the drive unit, battery, LED Remote control unit and display via Bosch's eBike Flow app and offers functions such as navigation, theft protection and over-the-air updates.

E-cross bikes up to 180 kg

This category describes STEVENS E-cross bikes with a higher maximum permissible overall weight.

Instructions on intended use

The maximum permissible overall weight (comprising rider, luggage, possibly trailer load and electric bicycle) should not exceed 180 kg. Under certain circumstances this permissible overall weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use.
STEVENS E-cross bikes are designed for a trailer load of 40 kg without and 80 kg with trailer brake. On STEVENS E-cross bikes made of carbon, however, the use of trailers is not permitted.
On STEVENS E-cross bikes made of carbon child seats are not permitted. On STEVENS E-cross bikes made of aluminium child seats are permitted. For more information see the chapter “Use of Child Seats” in your comprehensive STEVENS user manual.

STEVENS E-cross bikes are intended for hard-surface terrain, i.e. for tarred roads and bicycle lanes or gravel field tracks, where the wheels do not lose ground contact. In addition, they are well suited for well paved gravel paths and forest roads as well as off-road trails with a slight slope where a temporary loss of tyre contact with the ground due to small steps may occur. They are not suitable for off-road use (mountain bike use), namely for all mountain, enduro, downhill (DH), freeride, dual slalom, downhill/freeride parks, jumps, drops and in bike parks etc.

Due to their design and fittings, STEVENS E-cross bikes are not always suitable for being used on public roads. If you want to use them on public roads, these bikes must be fitted with the prescribed equipment. Observe the traffic rules when riding on public roads. Keep in mind that every bicycle or pedelec type is built for a specific intended use. Be sure to use your STEVENS pedelec only according to its intended use, as the STEVENS pedelec may otherwise not withstand the stress, fail and cause an accident with unforeseeable consequences! Using it for another than the intended use will also void the warranty.

Danger:

STEVENS bikes of the category 4 E-Plus are not suitable for off-road use, jumps, slides, stair riding, stoppies, wheelies, tricks etc.!
