STEVENS' Super Prestige Disc actually did not have to prove anything considering that Mathieu van der Poel of BKCP-Corendon became World Champion on it in February, RoadBIKE concluded. The camouflage-coating of the carbon frame was a tribute to the reigning cross champion respectively.
In the test rides it impressed all riders, however: ‟The STEVENS bike is convincingly fast and willing, but always impressively comfortable and smooth to ride.“ This was due to the slightly stretched seating position and the very smooth, but not at all sluggish handling.
The Super Prestige managed to be both a racing bike and a companion for cross rookies‘ first rides. Furthermore ‟the Super Prestige is also a versatile touring bike for everyday use due to its dynamic forward thrust and very smooth running.“
The forward thrust was mainly due to the ‟extremely stable, quite light carbon frameset: It is suitable for any rider’s weight because of its great stability.“ There was no criticism for the groupset either: ‟The high-quality Ultegra-groupset works ideally in all conditions.“ RoadBIKE editors recommend a compact crankset to touring riders.
Summary:
Strong frameset, strong specs, but above all a convincingly willing, trustworthy and reliable allrounder: Super Prestige is the bike of a World Champion, but also a world class companion for every day road cycling.
