The STEVENS engineers are particularly proud of the new carbon frames of the top models. They not only impress with their high stiffness values (for impeccable steering precision and efficiency even under the heaviest loads), but also with their low weight thanks to high-modulus "Carbon SL HMF" fibres in a design that is optimally suited to the loads. The two trail models roll on large 29" wheels, while the 29" front wheel on all versions for more demanding off-road use ensures calm handling and best rollover behaviour, and a 27.5" rear wheel ensures agility and ruggedness. Further top details are the stable UDH derailleur hangers, integrated mounting points for kickstands, innovative cable routing through the frame as well as the USB C charging socket on the top tube for models with Shimano drive - exclusively at STEVENS!

STEVENS E-Inception – Completely new e-mountain bike range for 2021
For the 2021 model year, STEVENS' engineers have put a completely new generation of dual-suspension e-mountain bikes on the knobby tires - from the high-end Enduro to the fully equipped trail “crossover”. Technical highlights are the innovative carbon frames of the top models, the brand-new and super-light Shimano EP8 drive and a multitude of functional details.
New Frames
New Names
Under the “family name” E-Inception, several model ranges come together, recognisable by the letter abbreviations from AM (“All-Mountain”) via ED (“Enduro”) and FR (“Freeride”) to TR like “Trail”. Behind them follow two numbers: the first stands for the level of equipment (from the top models' “9” to the price/performance wonders with the “6”. And the number after the full stop indicates the energy content of the respective battery: from “7” (for the record-breaking 726Wh of some E-MTBs) to “6” (Bosch PowerTube with 625Wh) to “5” (500Wh). And then there are two striking abbreviations: “GTF” stands for “gas to flat” - among off-road racers the synonym for “full throttle is trumps” - on the particularly sporty versions with longer, slacker geometry. And “FEQ” means “fully equipped” in terms of StVO legislation (lighting & Co.) as well as suitability for everyday use (mudguards, rear rack, kickstand, ...).
New Colors
Some versions of the E-Inception series also stand out from the rest - thanks to their “FlipFlop” paintwork, which, depending on the angle of view as well as the type and direction of the light source, literally shines in diverse colour shades, as here, for example, the frame of the E-Inception AM 7.7.
New Motors & Batteries
Probably the most powerful drive for sporty E-MTBs comes from Shimano in model year 2021: the EP8 has been upgraded to a whopping 85 Newton metres compared to its predecessor Steps E8000. Much more decisive on the trail, however, is its maximum compact design and minimum weight of just 2.5 kg. This almost necessarily demands a battery with maximum power - and the STEVENS engineers have found a real gem in the 726Wh energy reservoir from Darfon, and approved it: Safe and well hidden in the down tube, it is perfectly prepared for new records in long distance riding and elevation gains.

“FR” as in “Freeride”.
The hardcore version of the completely new STEVENS E-Inception model range is at home on the roughest, most technical trails. E-Inception ED 8.7 GTF
“ED” as in “Enduro”.
What makes a top Enduro bike? Downhill performance at its best on fast and technical trails. And on hilly terrain, just as much agility as endurance and climbing ability when it's back up to the summit. Riding fun on both sides of the mountain - never before have the STEVENS engineers put together such a noble and at the same time capable package as with the new top model E-Inception AM 9.7 GTF. The completely redesigned, innovative carbon frame combines the finest components, the ultra-light Shimano EP8 drive ( motor weight only 2.5 kg!) together with the 726Wh battery and the noble Fox chassis to such a successful combination that we were regularly only able to bring our test riders back from their alpine trail areas under the threat of being forced to do so. And now the result of their efforts is in front of us and you - in the finest carbon look and only 21.9 kg "fighting weight"

E-Inception AM 7.7
All-Mountain for comfort lovers.
At first glance, the E-Inception AM 7.7 hardly differs from its carbon brother AM 8.7 - and with the new, powerful Shimano EP8 drive, it promises the same level of riding pleasure. But its aluminium frame delights comfort-oriented riders with its pleasantly balanced geometry and seating position. Because the battery pack also contains an enormous 726 Wh of energy, there's nothing to stop you from taking long, long trips. And if you are still on the road after sunset in the future, you will quickly learn to appreciate the standard headlights.

The new E-Inception AM 6.6 brings the mantra of our partner Bosch perfectly to the point - because it combines a completely newly developed aluminium frame with integrated PowerTube 625 battery and feel-good geometry to the very best with the dynamic power output that occurs when you pedal and are actively supported by the up to 85 Nm torque of the Performance Line CX drive.
