For the upcoming cyclocross season, STEVENS Bikes has revised all its cross models. These highly anticipated 2016 creations can be found at the STEVENS Bikes retailers in August, just in time to fly this cross season.
Last January, Dutch BKCP-Powerplus standout rider Mathieu van der Poel won his national championships on his special edition STEVENS Super Prestige, then went on a month later to take the Elite World Champion title on his bike. Its camouflage design had received so much encouragement that a version of it will now be available as part of our stock line.
In addition to the Camo design, the STEVENS Super Prestige Disc version will be available in Team White - the colors of Van der Poel‘s BKCP-Powerplus Team, and Lime Green.
The Super Prestige with cantilever brakes will also be available in Team White and continue to be offered in Carbon Red. In addition to external changes in the frame, it received a few detail optimizations. All standard Super Prestige models will be equipped with DT Swiss Spline R24 wheels and Challenge Grifo tires (Open 33, white and foldable). A Super Prestige frame kit will also be available.
Alloy Frames-models
The aluminium models - STEVENS Vapor, Prestige, Gavere and Namur – will be 100-200 grams lighter this season. This was mainly achieved through lighter tubing, while the stiffness of the frame remains uncompromised.
The Vapor model also lost a bit of weight thanks to its new addition of the Scorpo Carbon SL Comfort seatpost, which also adds a bit more dampening comfort.
All STEVENS aluminium cross models can be fitted with mudguards so you can comfortably use the bike all year round.
