The Izoard was particularly convincing due to its low weight, sporty design and harmonious build.

The RennRad Magazin editorial team sums it up: "The Izoard is one of the sportiest and most clearly race-oriented models in the test field – and one of the lightest."

The high-quality carbon frame is partly responsible for the low total weight of 8.7 kilograms. Sophisticated production methods keep the weight low, while its optimised stiffness ensures direct handling. This has a direct effect on the overall performance: "When it comes to acceleration behaviour, the Stevens is one of the best models in this test field" and "it naturally scores particularly well on climbs", according to RennRad magazine.

But the Izoard not only scores top marks for the frame, the bike also achieves top results for handling and the price/performance ratio.

The Izoard also receives full marks for its high manoeuvrability, because "the agility of the Izoard is at a high level, especially due to the rather short wheelbase of 988 millimetres and the short chainstays", according to the RennRad Magazin test editorial team. The robust and laterally stiff DT Swiss P 1800 wheels provide the necessary riding stability on both narrow and fast sections.

The other features of the Izoard also impressed the testers. The 28 millimetre wide Continental Grand Prix tyres impressed with their comfort and high grip – even in the wet – and "the Shimano 105 groupset is well-balanced with 50/34 at the front and an 11-32 cassette at the rear, while the 105 disc brakes scored points in all test conditions with their consistently high braking power", wrote the RennRad magazine test editors.

"Agile, stiff, quite light and race-ready. The Stevens Izoard scores points with its good handling and low weight, among other things", according to the RennRad magazine test editorial team, which crowns the bike with the "Race Tip" award in this comparison test.
