Team Steylaerts 777 experienced a very successful weekend: On Saturday, Annemarie Worst and Alice Maria Arzuffi rode to second and third place in the 4th World Cup race of the season in Tabor, CZ. On Sunday Timo Kelich won the U23 race and Annemarie Worst won the Women’s Elite competition at the DVV trophy in Hamme, Belgium

STEVENS Bikes is the official sponsor of the 3. Telenet UCI Cyclocross World Cup in the 2018/19 season. After the first two runs in Waterloo und Iowa City, USA, the world’s elite of cyclocross will meet on October 21st in the Swiss capital. In the first world cup on European Soil not only the men’s and women’s elite but for the first time in the season U23 and U19 athletes will compete as well. In addition to free entrance spectators will be welcomed by an extensive support event along the race course inside Bern’s Weyermannshaus public open air bath.

The podium of the European Road Championships in Glasgow last Sunday very much resembled that of a cyclocross world cup race in the last few years. The only difference being that it was neither Wout van Aert nor Mathieu van der Poel to stand at the very top but Matteo Trentin from Italy of World Tour team Mitchelton-Scott.

One week after the German Championships in St. Ingbert the youth European Championships took place in Graz, Austria. The nomination of five STEVENS MTB Racing Team riders was a confirmation of their strong performance in St. Ingbert.

Patrick Dirksmeier ist eigentlich ein Spezialist auf den Mitteldistanzen. Im vergangenen Jahr konnte er sich den Europameistertitel über diese Distanz im dänischen Herning sichern. Nun wagt er sich beim Ironman Hamburg an die volle Distanz über 3,9 km Schwimmen, 180 km Radfahren und 42,2 km Laufen. Im Interview erzählt er von seiner Vorbereitung und welche Bedeutung STEVENS Bikes bei der Wahl des Wettkampfs gespielt hat.

Wietse Bosmans of ERA-Circus is Belgian Marathon Champion. After 115km on his STEVENS Sonora SL war he out-sprinted Roel Paulissen, who wins Silver at the finish line in Malmedy. For Bosmans who as a cyclocrosser normally is used to races not longer than a little over an hour this is his first title over a long distance. ”I am really proud of that,” he said after the race.

It was ambitious, the Tour de Savoie Mont Blanc (UCI 2.2), which ran through France from June 21 to 24. Five Pro Continental teams were at the start of the race with a total of almost 13,000 vertical meters to overcome. A challenge and an incentive at the same time. And a task that the team riders were absolutely up to.

First one-day race after the Tour of Luxemburg was the Grand Prix Aargau – Gippingen in Switzerland on June 6th. In the race categorized as UCI 1.HC, Sean de Bie in a bunch sprint missed the podium by a margin.

On a difficult and very muddy course in Valkenburg/Netherlands, Sanne Cant successfully defended her World Champion title. This way she will keep all the championship jerseys there are to win – the World and European Champion’s, the Belgian Champ’s and the World Cup leader’s.
