14th Belgian championship title in a row for Sanne Cant

On the challenging course in Lokeren, Sanne Cant (Crelan-Fristads) sensationally takes her 14th Belgian cyclocross title in a row.

In superior style, the three-time world champion takes the victory with a lead of more than one minute over her Crelan-Fristads team mate Marion Norbert Riberolle.

The 32-year-old Sanne laid the foundation for her success this year already in the first lap. On the muddy course with many running sections and climbs, the STEVENS rider managed to break away from the field in the early stages of the race and set her own pace from the front. In the end, she crossed the finish line with a 1:20 minute lead as the new and thus 14-time Belgian Cyclocross Champion.

Her team mate Marion Norbert Riberolle followed in second place. Despite problems in the first lap, the 24-year-old managed to take the silver medal with a 45-second lead over third-placed Alicia Franck.

In the Elite Men's race, World Cup leader Laurens Sweeck (Crelan-Fristads) took the silver medal after a close race, two seconds behind European champion Michael Vanthourenhout. Lennert Belmans (Crelan-Fristads) also won silver in the U23 race.
