STEVENS Primera Gent wins allround bike shootout

In the 02/2022 issue of their magazine, the MY BIKE editorial team tested six all-round bikes in the price range from 1000 to 1200 Euros. Due to being cultivated and offering perfect ergonomics, the STEVENS Primera Gent emerged as the overall winner.

The testers attest to the bike's hidden qualities, which are concealed behind its inconspicuous exterior. "The seating position is exemplarily balanced, you feel comfortable and welcome from the very first moment," according to the magazine. "The Primera accelerates nimbly, maintains its speed without any problems, steers itself precisely through bends, and comes to a stop safely". The comparatively low weight of 16.2 kg, the Suntour NCX-D LO suspension fork with 63 mm travel and the reliable Shimano BR-MT200 disc brakes with 180 mm rotor at the front and 160 mm rotor at the rear played a big part in this.

The wide range of the 3x10-speed Deore group was highly praised which "does not impose restrictions on anyone's choice of touring terrain". This is where the
Primera scores additionally with its 47 mm wide Continental tyres, because "the Stevens rolls very comfortably on its thick tyres", according to MY BIKE. So no matter whether you are riding in the city, across the country or even on hilly terrain, the Primera Gent with its black aluminium frame offers "cultivated handling" and an "ergonomically perfect riding position". These attributes are worth the score of 1.8 to the editors and thus the test victory!
