The brand new SRAM Force AXS and Rival AXS groupsets are now available in the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator. The Force AXS is aimed at ambitious athletes, while the Rival AXS marks the entry into the wireless AXS world of the American component manufacturer. The new, traditionally completely wireless component groupsets promise professional-level shifting and braking performance and many of the features that characterise SRAM's top Red AXS groupset: effortless braking with just one finger, improved ergonomics, fast, precise shifting and a lower weight compared to the previous groupsets. The new Force AXS in the SRAM standard configuration with 48/35-tooth Powermeter crankset and 10-30-tooth cassette is a good 180 grams lighter than its predecessor. The new Rival AXS in the same configuration is even more than 200 grams lighter than its predecessor.
The STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator offers countless options for putting together a dream road bike according to your own wishes and possibilities. The new SRAM groupsets are now available for selection. The example configuration of the STEVENS Arcalis Aero Road Bike with the SRAM Force AXS can be found here. The Xenith Endurance Bike with the SRAM Rival AXS component group can be found here. These are just two examples of what the STEVENS Custom Bikes Configurator makes possible.
Maximum performance without compromise. The Force AXS impresses with wireless technology, improved ergonomics and extended AXS integration. Made for ambitious road cyclists, the Force AXS offers outstanding performance, effortless braking and lightning-fast shifting at a professional level. In SRAM's standard configuration with power meter, 172.5 mm cranks, 48/35-tooth chainrings and 10-30-tooth cassette, it weighs just 2776 grams.
The new shift-brake levers offer improved ergonomics for even more different hand sizes. Optimised geometry also significantly reduces the braking force required and allows safe deceleration with just one finger. Shift paddles and grip rubbers with an ergonomic structure ensure greater control and comfort both when sprinting and on long rides. As with the top Red AXS groupset, SRAM offers a bonus button on the shift/brake levers of the new Force AXS groupset for controlling ANT+ devices or as an additional option for shifting. And the SRAM Bleeding Edge technology promises simple and clean bleeding of the brake system.
As usual, the rear derailleur is at the centre of all AXS drivetrains. On the new Force groupset, it should impress with a further reduction in weight and even faster shifting. A larger derailleur pulley promises even greater drivetrain efficiency. The advanced chain management technology ensures a quiet and reliable drivetrain; also supported by the refined front derailleur, which, thanks to SRAM's Yaw cage technology and auto-trim, should guarantee silent and chatter-free operation at high shifting speeds.
In addition to a new design, the new Force crankset offers a lower weight and even more rigidity compared to the previous model. The SRAM X-Range transmission technology with a wide gear range and smooth gear gradation ensures that you are always in the right gear. In the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator, the new Force crankset is available in the popular 48/35-tooth gradation and with 170 mm to 175 mm cranks.
SRAM has also introduced optimised 12-speed cassettes to match the new Force AXS groupset. Like the cranks, they feature X-Range technology for a wider gear range and smooth gear steps. In the case of the 10-28 and 10-33 tooth cassette available in the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator, this means at least five gear steps of just one tooth. The cassettes developed for use with XDR freehub bodies come with a matt nickel chrome finish for smooth running and durability as well as an unobtrusive design.
Premium performance for everyone. The new Rival AXS now makes first-class performance accessible to even more riders. The significantly lighter drivetrain enables effortless and powerful braking, silky smooth and fast shifting. For an unrivalled riding experience on the road. In the SRAM standard configuration with power meter, 172.5 mm cranks, 48/35-tooth chainrings and 10-30-tooth cassette, the new Rival AXS groupset weighs 2,993 grams.
The new Rival AXS groupset also benefits from refined grip bodies for the shift-brake levers and optimised brake lever geometry - for optimum braking control with just one finger, whether from the top grip or sprint position. Like the Force AXS, the Rival AXS features high-quality carbon brake levers that keep the weight of the braking system low and to contribute to first-class operability. The brake levers are equipped with practical grip width adjustment - for easy personalisation to different hand sizes. Textured shift paddles and grip bodies ensure control and comfort in every situation.
The advanced chain management technology on the Rival rear derailleur ensures a quiet and reliable drivetrain whether on the road or on all-road excursions. With a capacity for 10-28-tooth to 10-36-tooth cassettes, wide gear ranges can be achieved and the AXS capability stands for easy setup and quick customisation.
The front derailleur of the new Rival AXS relies on the proven SRAM Yaw technology and automatic trimming functions - for quiet, smooth shifting without annoying noises. Its slim cage is perfectly matched to the X-Range chainring design, enabling fast, clean gear changes. With SRAM's own setup tool, the perfect setting can be achieved in no time at all.
The new aluminium crankset for the SRAM Rival AXS groupset has also been further optimised. 50 grams lighter than its predecessor, it offers a further optimised stiffness-to-weight ratio. The X-Range transmission technology ensures a wide gear range and smoother gear steps. The new design fits perfectly with modern road bikes such as the STEVENS Izoard or Aspin Disc. The new Rival crankset is also available in the universal 48/35-tooth gradation and with 170 mm to 175 mm cranks in the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator.
Also new in the STEVENS Custom Bikes configurator and an ideal addition to the new SRAM component groupsets in the Zipp 303 SW carbon wheelset. It is a versatile all-rounder with a rim height of 40 millimetres and is perfect for use on the road, gravel, cobblestones or cyclocross. The modern rim shape ensures good aerodynamics, which makes the wheelset particularly efficient. With a rim width of 25 mm, it is ideal for tyre widths of 30 to 35 mm, but can also be used with tyres up to 44 mm wide. A special highlight is the integrated Zipp AXS wheel sensor, which enables air pressure measurement while riding and sends the data to the SRAM AXS app and compatible bike computers via ANT+ and Bluetooth. The air pressure can also be monitored while riding without the app and bike computer using the LED on the wheel. The LED flashes green to indicate the correct air pressure and flashes red at different speeds to indicate that the pressure is too low or too high. The ideal air pressure and the alarm range can be customised via the SRAM AXS app. The hookless design only allows use with tubeless-ready tyres. The total weight is 1440 grams and the maximum system weight is 115 kilograms, making it a light and powerful choice.
